Good Afternoon NAMS Families,

I hope that this message finds you and your loved ones well. As we conclude week 2 of the school year, I hope that your families are reestablishing those important school routines. Our new 6th graders are transitioning well to middle school, our 7th graders are getting comfortable in their new grade and on their new teams, and our 8th grade students and school leaders have adjusted well so far to their final year of middle school.

We are looking forward to a great year and look forward to our partnership with you, our families.

Important News

NAMS Yearbooks On Sale Now!

Good afternoon NAMS Families,

NAMS Yearbooks are on sale now through the main office. Online orders are now closed.

Yearbooks are available for $40 each while supplies last!

Checks should be made payable to NAMS in the amount of $40 per yearbook.

Please write the following in the memo line:

  • Student’s Name

  • Student’s Team

  • Student’s Homeroom

This will help us greatly in preparation for distribution on yearbooks.

Yearbooks can also be paid for in cash from one of the administrative assistants in the main office.

We also decided that yearbook distribution will take place on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, June 11th - Distribute to Grade 8

  • Wednesday, June 12th - Distribute to Grade 6 & 7

Dear 8th Graders and Parents/Guardians,

We are pleased to announce we will be holding our 33rd annual Dress-up Dance for North Andover 8th Graders at the North Andover Youth Center on Friday, January 26th from 7:00-9:30 p.m. Please adhere to the following guidelines to help us make this another successful event for our 8th graders. 

  • If you have any questions, please contact Nicole at nkramer@nayouth.com Please direct questions to the Youth Center and not NAMS.

  • This dance is ONLY for residents of North Andover who are currently in 8th Grade.
    In accordance with NAMS, we ask that attendees do not take the day off of school or get dismissed early on 1/26.

  • Students are expected to dress appropriately for this event (i.e. a dress, or a shirt, nice pants, optional tie/blazer/suit jacket)

  • No hats or jeans. No tuxedos or expensive prom dresses. Any footwear is allowed.

  • No Limos!

  • 8th graders are encouraged to come on their own or in groups of friends.

  • The event will be chaperoned by Youth & Recreation Services staff.

  • Light refreshments will be provided by Youth & Recreation Services staff.

  • No participants will be allowed to leave before the dance ends at 9:30 p.m. without a parent/guardian coming inside to pick them up.

Tickets

  • Tickets are $10 for current Youth Center members and $15 for non-members.

  • Tickets will be sold in the Youth Center lobby on Tuesday 1/23 between 2:30-5:30 p.m., Wednesday 1/24 between 1:30-5:30 p.m., & Thursday 1/25 between 2:30-5:30 p.m.

  • Please bring cash to purchase your ticket. Every 8th Grader must buy their own ticket.

  • Bring your purchased ticket to the door the night of the dance. Tickets will not be sold at the door, so make sure to purchase during the days & times listed.

  • This annual event has been a major success for the past thirty two years, and we look forward to another successful event!

NAMS ANNUAL BREAD & ROSES FOOD DRIVE

 December 4 - 15, 2023

Sponsored by Student Leadership

Bread & Roses is a soup kitchen in Lawrence, MA that has long been a center of hope and care to the thousands of people in the Merrimack Valley who are struggling for survival. Their primary purpose is to ease the hunger of people in the community.  

Bread & Roses mission is Food. Dignity. Compassion.

Bread & Roses does not accept any form of government funding and relies on the community to ensure that the needs of our neighbors are met.

Please bring in any of the following items, which will  go into pantry orders, 

Grab & Go meals and community meals:

Boxes / Bags of Individually wrapped snacks: chips, cookies, granola bars, etc.

 Bottled water

Pancake Mix, Muffin and cake mix

Canned items: Fruit, vegetables, beans, fish, soup etc. 

Tomato Sauce

Pasta, Mac & Cheese

Rice

Gift cards for Market Basket and money donations accepted, too!
