Hello NAMS Families,

I hope that this message finds you well. It looks like winter has finally arrived with some unpredictable weather. We rescheduled this past Wednesday’s Grade 8 Band and NAHS Wind Ensemble Concert to Wednesday, February 1st at 7:00 p.m. The NAMS PTAC meeting scheduled for this same night has now been rescheduled to Wednesday, February 15th @ 6:45 p.m. This will be a virtual meeting and you will be provided a link to the meeting that afternoon.

Before I share information about upcoming events, I just want to commend Matt Ignos, Chris Nelson, & Andrea Liacos for their work with our students showcased at our evening concerts this past week. Tuesday’s Grade 6 & 7 Band concerts and last night’s full year chorus concert exemplified what these kids can do together. I am constantly impressed when watching our students working together - whether on the athletic field, stage, classroom, or wherever else! Winter MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) Assessments

Teachers will be administering the Math & Reading Assessments during the following weeks:

  • Week of February 6th - MAP Math Assessments

  • Week of February 13th - MAP Reading Assessments

  • Make-ups will be scheduled after February Break

 

Wednesday, February 15th

  • Early Release for Students at 1:05 p.m.

  • NAMS PTAC Meeting @ 6:45 p.m. (Virtual Meeting)

 

Friday, February 17th

  • Annual Staff vs. Student Basketball Game during Related Arts Classes

Internet Safety Presentations with Katie Greer

Katie Greer is a nationally recognized speaker, and former Intelligence Analyst for the MA State Police and Director of Internet Safety for the MA Attorney General’s Office. She will explore tools and strategies for you to help your kids and teens navigate technology in a safe and productive way.

  • Tech permanency and its DANGERS

  • How to be a responsible online consumer
