NAMS Message to Families - 6/3/22

Next Week Theme is Pride Week at NAMS

In our daily morning announcements, we choose a new theme each week and include quotes/precepts about that week’s theme. If that month has a theme like Black History Month, we will devote at least one week to that theme and include information and quotes. June is the start of pride month, a time where people raise awareness and  celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community with events and parades all around the World. Here at NAMS we focus on our RAISE value of Inclusion. This is a time where we acknowledge our differences and understand that everyone is welcome in our NAMS community.

During next week’s Pride Week, we will share information and quotes as part of our morning announcements. We anticipate and expect that our students will treat one another, regardless of their views and opinions with respect. We encourage families to remind their children of the importance of accepting all differences as we work to understand one another.

Students Not Attending North Andover in the Fall 2022

If a student will not be attending North Andover Public Schools for the upcoming school year, parents/guardians will need to notify Mrs. Barron as soon as possible by either email or coming into the main office of NAMS.  At the end of the school year your student’s records will be forwarded to their new school.  Please contact Mrs. Barron with any questions at barronm@northandoverpublicschools.com

Message from the 11th graders leading this effort…

Hello NAMS Families,

Our names are Fallon Hurley, Jackie Rogers, and Kate Fitzgibbons, and we are three juniors at North Andover High School. This year we decided to start a project for our nonprofit class that is centered around a small village in Ngamo, Zimbabwe. We will be collecting new and gently used school supplies from both students and parents to donate to the primary school in Ngamo.

Ideally, we are looking specifically for pencils, pens, colored pencils, crayons, and erasers, but any item will go a long way.

Thank you so much for your consideration and for taking the time to read about our project and contribute towards helping the children of Ngamo.

Sincerely,

Fallon, Kate, and Jackie
